Diploma in Light Music

Diploma Program in Light Music is a inclusive program designed to introduce tradition of Indian classical music through the organized approach for the beginner's to trained with support of Raga based music. This Diploma program aims to promote the awareness for Indian classical music and develop a spiritual growth in individual’s life. This course also provide a foundation to the beginners from practical aspects of Hindustani classical music, the program accessible to learners of all ages and backgrounds.

The curriculum encompasses a broad range of topics, from introduction to Raga-based music such as Ragas, talas, and swar systems to power the mind and soul for sugam sangeet which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible with the fundamental concepts of hindustani classical music. Students will explore various Ragas, their characteristics, and the appropriate use of traditional compositions and bandishes in Light Music. Practical sessions will focus on developing vocal skills, including proper breathing techniques, tonal clarity, and the ability to render intricate musical phrases with precision. Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to explore the diverse range in Light Music compositions, ranging from traditional bandishes to contemporary compositions and show the way of singing a Raga and its direct application in various light songs. After successful completion and assessment of the course, students will receive a Diploma in Light Music.
