Note:
- There will be an increase of 8% in the annual fees for the subsequent years of study.
Eligibilty Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Performing Arts degree with Honours in Hindustani Classical Vocal/Instrumental (Harmonium/Shehnai/Flute) and Percussion Music (Tabla) must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from any Board with 40% or more marks in the aggregate with Music as one of the subject.
OR
Candidates who have not offered Music as one of the subject at the last qualifying Examination and desirous of seeking admission to Bachelor degree with Honours in Hindustani Music Vocal/Instrumental (Harmonium/Shehnai/Flute) and Percussion Music (Tabla) must have learnt Music for not less than three years in a recognised institution.
OR
Learnt Music for not less than three years from a well-known teacher/guru. Such candidates will be required to submit a certificate issued by the institution/teacher/guru, as the case may be to this effect.
Note:
The final selection will be made based on performance in the audition test.

Admission will be offered based on the merit and availability of seats taken together. The candidate will be communicated via email about his/her offered seat or waitlisted number.
Important Instructions
- Admission will be offered based on the merit, and availability of seats. The candidate will be communicated via email about his/her status of admission whether confirmed or waitlisted.
- A candidate who has been offered seat will need to pay the fees of Rs.5,000/- within 5 days of the receipt of the offer letter, to secure the confirmed admission.
- Candidate who does not pay the requisite amount as per the deadline will lose his/her claim on the confirmed seat during that phase.
- Balance fees to be paid as per the schedule displayed on the website
- The final confirmation of admission is subject to physical verification of the documents. In case of non-availability of valid documents, the confirmation of the admission will result in cancellation.
- Cancellation rules are available on the website for reference.
- The admission schedule may change under unavoidable circumstances or as per directive / instructions from admitting authorities of Somaiya Vidyavihar University. The revised schedule, if any, will be notified on the website.

- HSC or Equivalent Mark list
- S.S.C. or Equivalent Mark-list
- College Leaving Certificate
- Caste Certificate, Caste Validity if candidate belongs to reserve category under SC/ST/OBC /VJ-NT
- Adhaar Card, Two passport size Photographs of the candidate
- Equivalence Certificate / Migration Certificate of Concern Board (if student passed HSC from other than Maharashtra Board)
- Music exam board certificates( Gandharva Mahvidyalaya, Prayag Sangeet samiti,etc)
Note : Applicable for only Gujarati Linguistic Minority Candidate
- Self declaration of the candidate in specified format (“Gujarati Linguistic Minority Community Students Self Declaration” proforma)
- And
- Certificate from respective community/ samaj stating that they belong to the Gujarati Speaking Community.
