Mrs. Sunita Gangrade is currently working as a Music Teacher in the Maya Somaiya School of Music and Performing Arts, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai. She received her initial music training from Shri Thakur Harishchandra Singh and Shri Kiran Phatak. Later on, she started learning classical vocal music under Guru Shishya Parampara from Vidushi Apoorva Gokhale from Gwalior Gharana since 2017. She has also received training in Semi-classical vocal music from Mrs Dhanashree Pandit Rai (disciple of Shobha Gurtu).

She has completed her Master of Arts (MA) in Music from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore with honours and was awarded the gold medal by Rashtrapati Shankar Dayal Sharma for Excellence in Classical Music in the year 1996. She is also completed Visharad in Harmonium from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Miraj in 2017.

She has been a faculty at the Somaiya School of Music for Vocal and Harmonium since 2015 and at the Maya Somaiya School of Performing Arts from 2021.
She is currently doing PhD from the Maya Somaiya School of Performing Arts in Music.
Published a peer-reviewed research paper in a international peer reviewed journal KUTUP and RITFOAC 2023 International conference, Allahabad University.

She has been a coordinator for numerous cultural music events at Somaiya Vidyavihar University since 2015, and she also conducts audits/electives in Music at other institutes.
She is a recognized All India Radio and TV artist who has performed live at a number of concerts, including the Ashtavinayak Mahotsava (Pune) in January 2015, on the invitation of Pandit Sanjeev Abhayankar (Disciple of Pandit Jasraj). She has also previously judged for Zee TV Little Champs competition TV show. She is a recipient of Lata Mangeshkar Alankaran Samaroh.

She has a large collection of traditional classical bandish compositions and is well knowledgeable in other forms of Semi Classical Music such as Thumri, Dadra, Hori, and Kajri, all of which can be found on her YouTube channel
She has conducted several workshops on Music Therapy and its ability to treat major ailments such as diabetes, fluctuating blood pressure levels, stress, and depression.

She has presented a paper in the International Seminar at University of Allahabad, Prayagraj.
She is also a part of the editorial board of Somaiya Vidyavihar University Newsletter.

She has successfully engaged hobby classes for 3 months duration as an Open Certificate Program for Sugam Sangeet and Harmonium
She has engaged the students during Summer and Winter School Training Program of Somaiya Vidyavihar University and as per instructions from Vice-Chancellor Prof. VN Rajasekharan Pillai, students have been trained to perform in Mukta Sangeet Manch (Weekly Open Music Performance Activity of MSSMPA)
