Fundamentals of Indian Vocal Music’ is a 2-year Diploma course that offers students an exposure to various genres of Indian music along with the introduction to Hindustani classical music which is believed to be foundational to singing any genre of Indian music with ease and flare.
It includes learning semi classical music, riyaz and vocal techniques, breath work and voice culture. A little bit of genres and sub genres like thumri, kajri, ghazal, dadra, folk, light, devotional, Sufi, Bollywood and pop music will be covered.
At the end of successful completion of the course the student will:
