The Bachelor of Performing Arts ( Vocal) is a comprehensive four-year program designed to provide an in-depth study of the fundamental and theoretical concepts of Hindustani classical music. The program offers students the opportunity to gain profound knowledge of at least 40 raags, exploring their structure, significance, and performance techniques.
Through this course, students will master the nuances of various genres of Hindustani classical music, such as: Khayal, Dhrupad, Tarana. The student also learns genres like Thumri, Bhajan, Sargam Geet, Lakshan Geet of a Raga. Additionally, the curriculum focuses on the intricate concepts of tala , understanding of taals commonly used in different genres of Hindustani classical music, enabling them to perform with precision and artistry.
